At Deadline, we believe it’s important that we contribute to the community – both at a local and international level. We are always open to approaches from our clients or staff with ideas about what form these contributions can take. Currently, they involve the following:

Carbon Planet
We pay an annual fee to Carbon Planet, a global carbon management company, to offset our carbon emissions. They are recognised internationally as a transparent and credible industry leader whose base-line audits adhere to both the World Council for Sustainable Business Development's GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard, harmonised with ISO 14064-1 and the Australian Energy Audits Standard AS/NZ 3598:2000.

Client Discounts
We have a number of clients that are not-for-profit organisations, to which we offer a discounted hourly rate and/or sponsorship package options. They include Cancer Council South AustraliaDiabetes SA and Arthritis Foundation SA.

World Vision
We have been sponsoring a young girl from Africa for 3 years now and enjoy hearing about her progress. In addition, for Christmas 2008 our internal gift expenditure was diverted to World Vision in the form of "Green the Planet", "Alive and kicking" and "Children’s health" packages.

Helpmann Academy
The Helpmann Academy is a unique partnership of the major tertiary arts training establishments in South Australia offering award courses for people seeking professional careers in the arts. We are “Friends of the Helpmann Academy” as we want to make an ongoing contribution to the development of local artists.

‘Foundation for the Future’ program
In 2008 the Hickinbotham Group launched a ‘Foundation for the Future’ program, designed to assist early learning centres and kindergartens in high needs areas through the provision of a computer, software and other items. As such, we donated a laptop to the 2009 Charity Ball fundraising event.

Newborn Intensive Care Foundation
Canberra’s Newborn Intensive Care Foundation urgently requires support to purchase a second mobile humidicrib to help transport critically ill babies. We donated our time to developing a baby bottle animation to track donations on the Community CPS website.
